Imagery and imagination

The Fungus Foray weekend outing was  well attended. A variety of fungi were seen and photographed – together with some men behaving strangely!!  (but not badly!)

What do we do?

Lunchtime Meetings/Slideshows/Competitions

We hold monthly meetings at lunchtime, previously on the Risley site, but from 2001 we decided to move to the DATEN. Lunchtime meetings are usually the last Monday in each month (except August), but this can be varied due to Bank Holidays, etc. (See list of meeting dates for 2007). The meetings either feature  a slide presentation or a photographic competition on a theme.

 

Evening/weekend meetings

Occasionally we have evening meetings, with a guest speaker, at the DATEN Club in Culcheth. In 2005 we  had two; the first one on flash photography and the second one on portraits.

Field Trips

We have also held a few weekend  field trips such as the fungus foray.

 

Annual Exhibition

 We also have an annual exhibition of members' photographs, usually running from August till mid October. We show the exhibition in a number of different buildings on the Risley site and also in the Culcheth Sports Club (the DATEN) and Culcheth Library. Each members displays about 4-5 prints. Most are digitally photographed and printed.

 

Other events

The club has a stall at the annual “Fun Day “ held every August at the Culcheth Sports Club ( DATEN) .
